SA SchoolNetwork NPC was an education technology service provider and curriculum distributor supporting education industry stakeholders in various districts of South Africa, Africa, and the United Kingdom.

Operating as a registered Non Profit Company (NPC) and Public Benefit Organisation (PBO) enabled us to access discounted platforms.  We passed on these low operating costs to our customers as affordable products and services. This made SA SchoolNetwork sustainable and enabled an excellent Return On Investment (ROI) in an extremely dynamic and agile industry.

SchoolNetwork excelled at implementing innovative technology solutions that enable schools, tutor centres and other stakeholders in education to reach for and connect with those who were previously beyond their grasp.

Our services included;

• Blended Learning using Google Education (incl. Classroom) & Microsoft Education (incl. Teams) and Coding South Africa.

• Educational Technology (aka EdTech) to help schools to engage with blended learning curricula.

This website was created in 2020, when Sean Grant joined Mauritz Kotze, as a co-director of the the company, which was then reactivated after being dormant for many years, to help underserved schools with education technology solutions, especially for the implementation of Coding & Robotics in South Africa.

It remains published here as a record of what was achieved during the brief lifetime of SA SchoolNetwork NPC, most notably from 2020 - 2024, as Sean & Mauritz colaboured to implement affordable education technology and curriculum solutions, that were provided to 50+ schools, 100+ teachers and 5,000+ students, to help them solve educational technology challenges, upskill themselves and launch C&R at their schools.

I'm sending this email to inform you that SA SchoolNetwork will close its doors at the end of Term 1, 2024.

What this means to you:

The following services that were offered by SA SchoolNetwork will now be offered by SchoolCoding.

1. Online LMS (Indida will be replaced by Canvas Instructor)

2. The supply of Robotic Sets

3. The Supply of Top Class Coding and Robotic Learner Books and Teacher Guides

4. Support for the above

- You may contact me via email, mk@schoolcoding.co.za for any queries.

- We received numerous complaints regarding Indida, thus Indida will not be updated. We will transition to Canvas Instructor, to continue offering the online lesson content.

The look and feel are very similar to Indida. We will supply more details regarding Canvas shortly. We apologize for the additional disruption that this may cause in the work flow but know that the greater speed and operations of this new site will make the temporary setback more than worth while.

- As a non-profit, SchoolNetwork relied on sponsorship from corporate investors. Unfortunately, we did not receive the necessary funding to keep our doors open.

This means that both Sean Grant and Melanie Grant will not be part of the SchoolCoding Team, since SchoolCoding is a separate company. Sean will continue to provide Google-related services in his private capacity under, Slingshot PTY Ltd / Rechargeables PTY Ltd.

You are welcome to contact him with Google-related queries or Chromebook support. This service will not be offered by SchoolCoding going forward.
